The management students set a benchmark in all the institutions and bagged the numerous awards and prizes in State and National level events like Paper presentations, Best Manager, Business Plan, Ad-Zap, B-Quiz, Product Launch, Debates, and also in cultural events. Every year a minimum of 40 prizes are being taken over by our students.
To quote a few, we continuously bag the prestigious MMA Award for the past four years since its inception.
Our young budding managers have won the 1st and 3rd prizes in Pre-Budget Financial Plan 2007-08, orgnanized by ICFAI University in collaboration with Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Chennai Chapter.
Our institution has organized around 12 National Level Conferences / Seminars / Workshops, and an International Conference.
Apart from the academic activities, our institute has also stepped into the area of Market Research activities, viz, every year the state-level research survey is being conducted in various sectors and recognizes the top performers by awarding them for their quality products and services.

SIMS organized a National Level FDP on Balance of Emotional Intelligence in Working Environment for Teaching Faculty (AICTE-sponsored). The programme was conducted between 6th to 12th December 2007.
